Dokotela is a new way to find doctors, dentists, and psychologists close to home, built for South Africa specifically, not adapted from an overseas platform. Patients can search by name or specialty, filter by who's accepting new patients, and see real distance and availability before booking.
The idea came directly from a family health scare that showed us firsthand how much friction there is in finding the right care quickly. Dokotela is being built to remove that friction, with a strong commitment to never selling patient data.
Built with Hono on Cloudflare Workers, React and Expo for the mobile app, and Clerk for authentication, with POPIA-compliant consent flows built in from the start, not added on afterward.
Zanzii is a local hub for Alexandra, Sandton, Midrand, and the rest of Johannesburg, one app for finding work, hiring someone, and buying or selling nearby. It's built for small sellers and everyday people, not big platforms taking a cut of every transaction.
Once-off gigs, ongoing work, and marketplace listings all live in the same app, with real local context, not generic listings pulled from a national database.

Sonke means together, and that's the whole idea: one shared calendar, one grocery list, one chat, that actually works whether your kids have one home or two. Built for real families, not just the tidy nuclear-family version most apps assume.
Events tagged for a child show up across every household they belong to, so co-parenting arrangements, blended families, and shared custody schedules stay in sync without anyone having to manually update two calendars.
